President Bush in the Canyon

Many of you may know already, President George W. Bush is hosting 20 service men and their

spouses next week in Amarillo for the 2nd Annual Warrier 100. It is a 3 day mountain bike ride in the

Palo Duro Canyon.

This is a great honor for Amarillo to host this event. The Warriors and their spouses arrive

Wednesday, April 25th and Thursday, April 26th at various times during the day. Join us in

giving them a warm West-Texas welcome at the airport as they arrive! Park in short term

parking and meet at the Rick Husband statue in the public common area of the airport.

Bring signs welcoming the warriors (their first names are below for you to put on signs)

or balloons if you would like!

OTC Club Meeting April 19th

There will be a Club Meeting Thursday Night at 8:00 at Cofffee Memorial blood Bank that is April the 19th. We will talk about our up coming event May 5th at the Blood Bank please come. Please spread the word!!!

Weekly Rides Time Change

Starting Monday April 9th the Monday and Wednesday Group Rides will move to 6:30 still from Gander Mountain. See you there!!!!

I had a report on Anna Isom from church last night. She is doing extremely well and walking with a walker. Her friend says she is very determined to make a full recovery.

RIDE of SILENCE, MAY 16 @ Potter County Courthouse

Amarillo's 8th annual participation in the internationally observed memorial bicycle RIDE OF SILENCE is May 16 (Wednesday) at Potter County Courthouse, Taylor St @ 6th Ave. Assembly is at 6:30 PM with rollout at 7 PM. A post-ride social gathering will be held on the beautiful new lawn so pack your lawn chairs, etc. This is a free, slow-paced ride without talking, open to all riders and hosted each year by OTC in conjunction with Share the ROAD!. APD police escort service is provided for our 6-8 mile ride at 10 MPH.

Print the downloadable application from the top right corner of the home page. Fill out the application and mail completed application & fee to the address on the form. Once we receive your completed application & fee, we will get you set-up with your membership information packet.

$20 individual or $30 family

Spring Six Pack MTB Race Series

Spring MTB race series @ Palo Duro Canyon and Girl Scout Trails. Cat 1,2,and 3 with age groups. $ payouts in each cat and age group, $ for end of series top finishers in each cat and age group. 25$ entry and you can drop one race in series standings, only five races count towards series totals.

MON NO DROP RIDE & WED OTC RIDE FROM GANDER

Events person Nugget says that we will start the OTC rides up next week from Gander Mountain @ 6pm. These rides will change to 6:30 later in the summer!

Mondays-No Drop Ride @ 6pm from Gander Mountain parking lot. This ride is an easy pace to hang out and help introduce new riders to cycling!

Wed's-OTC group ride from Gander Mountain @ 6pm. This is a ride where you can group up with riders of your level. There are usually many different pace groups to join in on this ride, from easy to hard.
